About this event
Using your thumb, cast on a row of stitches to begin knitting. Learn the knit stitch (garter stitch) to knit a flag. After the specified number of rows has been knitted, bind off. Experiment knitting shapes by increasing or decreasing. Why not practice knitting a butterfly by increasing and decreasing stitches. With needle, yarn and felt glue, embellish each flag and butterfly with buttons and craft felt. In the spirit of going green, the craft felt is made from post consumer plastic bottles. Minimum Age: 12 years old Materials Fee: $15.00. Two August Sessions available.
